For
children aged 3 to 5 years.
During their time in the Rainbow Room the children will experience
a range of fun and challenging play activities which will
increase their confidence and develop valuable social skills
in preparation for school.
Activities will be planned using the foundation stage curriculum
where a balance of child-initiated and adult-led play experiences
will be introduced.
In planning such experiences staff are always aware of the
need to cater for each individual childs' learning style.
Young children need the opportunity to experience and explore
both indoors and outside and both environments will be planned
to ensure that children are given access to all areas of learning.
Through working closely with parents and carers, and by observing
each child to assess their learning abilities, staff will
be able to plan stimulating and challenging play activities
to further their development.
All rainbow room staff are qualified early years practitioners
with a working knowledge of the foundation stage curriculum.
